Chinese Helmets

Chinese Helmets Helmets are a piece of armor, usually made of metal that are specially designed to protect the head. They are know to be one of the most universal forms of armor and offer a defensive covering for the head, face and sometimes the neck. Introduced by People's Republic of China from the late 1970s, the Chinese helmets are still widely used. The helmets often have stars or other emblems on the front.

The Chinese helmets feature single piece iron bowl with attached brim with down-turned edges and traces of its gold wash. The blackened outer surfaces retain a pleasing patina. The bottom edge of the helmet often has as series of paired holes for a mail neck guard. The inner surface with mild discoloration and some light scattered pitting. The top with circular finial with hole for the now missing plume holder. A rare officers helmet from the Ming Dynasty.
